The story

  1. 08:00Pickup
  2. Chet Si spring
  3. Bua Tong waterfall
  4. ~12:30Back at your pickup place

We collect you from where you stay at 08:00 and drive about an hour north into Mae Taeng, to the Bua Tong waterfall and the Chet Si spring in their small national park. The falls are limestone, so the rock is rough and grippy: you climb up through the water with your hands and feet, which is the whole fun of it. There is a quiet spring pool full of fish a short walk the other way. You are back in town around midday.

We collect you in the Old City, Nimman or Night Bazaar, then head north.

A lawn with big old trees, a few shelters, and two paths: left to the spring, right to the falls.

Along the left path, a mineral spring pool where the water shifts colour and fish hang in the clear water.

Steps lead down to the bottom, then you walk up the falls; the limestone grips like sandpaper, even underwater.

Shallow pools between the tiers for sitting in the flow, and a shady bank for those who would rather watch.

Dry off, change, and the van has you back where you stay around midday with the afternoon free.

Half day. The morning trip picks you up at 08:00 and is back around 12:30. The afternoon trip picks you up at 13:00 and is back around 17:30.

What should I wear?

Clothes or swimwear you can get wet in, and sandals or water shoes that grip: you climb the falls through the water. Bring a towel and a change of clothes.

Cancellation?

Free until 24 hours before pickup; later than that, no refund. You can book until 30 minutes before pickup; a booking made after 18:00 the day before has no free cancellation. If the group does not reach 4 guests by 18:00 the evening before, we cancel the day and refund you in full.
